...when they attack the media they think this will INCREASE their coverage.

The logic is if the media is already reporting our every move - if we attack them, they will be even more desirous of reporting how unsafe it is and how unwanted Americans are in Iraq.

They are not thinking that by doing this they might LOSE their media coverage.

It's the same mindset that sends anthrax to reporters, thinking their coverage and reporting hysteria will only multiply a thousand-fold.

The media is the victim of their own machinations, their glorifying of every casualty and their projected image of terrorists in control.
