An Excellent Review Of Computer Modeling As Well As Insight Into Galileo

Shows why modeling is the only way to predict the behavior of complex systems like climate and why it is so difficult and prone to uncertainty as well. The uncertainties in and variations between climate models are not due to bad science but rather computational difficulty and complexity. Uncertainty is to be expected, but it is not an excuse to throw out modeling any more than they did with Galileo. They made their predictions and then corrected them once new data was available. In the case of climate modeling we are not only including new data. but still refining the models due to an even higher level of complexity.
