Political Nightmares

Thanks for your detailed perspective.
I wondered myself BEFORE we went in, what we were going to do with the THOUSANDS (if not hundreds of thousands) of Sadam supporters among his military and various tribes. House by house, person by person, going through a population of millions looking to see where their political loyalties lie.....THAT's what made me think the mission was impossible from the start.
It wasn't only poor planning, it was insane.
So, no WMD, we're giving them peacemeal for their oil wells, and now every suicidal, religious, have-no-future Islamacist, is going to come at us with their guns and bombs. And we have created more animosity, not less.
Highway of death? "Bleeding hearts" complaining or not, it IS inhumane, and that is why there was outrage before we started this "war" (occupation for oil). That Bush tries to constantly shift blame or change the REASONS for this war, we have embarked on a hopeless situation that will eventually lead to failure, both politically and economically for us.....not to mention the Iraqis, who will live like the Israelis, as whatever we (or the UN) build, will be targets for terrorism from here on in.
