I don't believe the Christian religion has an equivalent to Shariah

I am disgusted by any abuse justified by religion but the 20th century horrific abuse by the Christians (excluding cult kooks) has mostly consisted of excessive corporal punishment and withholding medical treatment. I don't recall any death sentences.

The Shariah prescribes atrocious punishments for almost every crime including stoning, beheading, dismemberment and dropping from tall buildings. The standards for conviction is often very strict (adultery-copulation must be witnessed by multiple parties) but the punishment is not negotiable.

I know of no case where any Muslim cleric has conceded that the Shariah is invalid. The Muslim hierarchy grudgingly accepts secular rule but in the perfect world the clerics rule and Shariah stands.

IMO the Muslims are in bad need of a New Testament.
