In Switzerland
I stayed in a respectable normal hotel that made Motel 6 look luxurious with no AC. I visited a plant most rode bikes to where even those that had cars did not have AC in them. The plant was an indoor plant with no AC. In one of their major cities I saw many beautiful and quant homes over 400 years old. Switzerland has one of the highest purchasing power per capita incomes of Europe by the way. I flew over Paris and it was massive and sprawling unlike most of Europe dotted with little hamlets within easy biking distance.
