re: Haliburton

So let me get this straight. He initially works in the government and puts enormous work to Halliburton and then quits and becomes CEO making a fortune. Then he quits and keeps a pile of options and becomes VP and pushes even more vast amounts of work to Halliburton. At the same time he supports fixing Halliburton's asestos debts as well. Now at the moment (because of Cheney's mistaken merger with Dresser) the options aren't worth anything, but they can be if the price of the stock rises. If that's the case the money he makes off that would be from the work he pushed onto them as VP. It's utterly corrupt. Just because he can't cash them this week makes no difference, the stock has been at those prices before.
Do you think government officials should have any ethics at all, or is that just an intereference in the market mechanism?
