McClintock is a true conservative. He's a better candidate then Schwarzenegger. One then has to ask if the Clinton syndrome is worth voting one's conscience. I know a girl who voted for Perot and so regretted it afterwards when Clinton was inaugurated, she grew to despise Perot.
I'm not worried about it though. I think Schwarzenegger has enough momentum now to make up for the divided vote and is pulling the independents out of the woodwork.
The idea of a California "Camelot" with Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver is not lost on the folks in the news media and entertainment media outlets who realize they will make a HECK of a lot more money if Schwarzenegger wins than if Davis, Bustamante or McClintock win.
That alone helps Schwarzenegger and California quite a bit.
