Blowback in Washington. The President can't take the heat for his "uranium from Niger" speech before the war. When the spotlight was on him, he made Tenet the fall guy. I mean SOMEONE had to take the fall.
So, maybe Tenet didn't like being squeezed. Maybe he's had it. Maybe his only legal recourse is to protect his company (the CIA). So, now there's at least half a dozen reporters who were called and told about Valerie Plame.
An act of planned revenge for her husband Wilson, the diplomat who defied the Bush administration and came forward to say the Niger story was full of holes, and that the Bush administration KNEW it.
