A few thoughts on the latest Bush-hater feeding frenzy...

I swear, it's like watching starving dogs jump on a two-week old pork chop bone. You guys are just so damn desperate.

Ah, the good old days. Back when the CIA was the Focus Of All Evil to the Left, those who "outed" CIA agents had flowers strewn in their paths. In 1975, Senator Frank Church held hearings in which many CIA agents were exposed. If he got frog-marched anywhere, I must have missed it. Anybody remember "Counterspy" magazine? The "Covert Action Information Bulletin?" Anybody remember Richard Welch?

Blowing CIA covers used to be a favorite hobby of the Left. Suddenly, they're towering with indignation over such an occurrence.

An article in National Review indicates that Plame's position may have been known to a lot more people than just the mysterious sources.

Wilson has backtracked from his original allegations against Rowe.

Wilson had said in a late August speech in Seattle that he suspected senior Bush adviser Karl Rove. But on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday, he backtracked somewhat from that assertion.

"In one speech I gave out in Seattle not too long ago, I mentioned the name Karl Rove," he said. "I think I was probably carried away by the spirit of the moment. I don't have any knowledge that Karl Rove himself was either the leaker or the authorizer of the leak. But I have great confidence that, at a minimum, he condoned it and certainly did nothing to shut it down."

A good link to many sources on this can be found in this timeline. Lot of good links from there, too. One could make researching this a full-time job if one wanted to. I don't.

Are you aware that Valerie Plame's maiden name is listed on Wilson's biography?

This whole flap is based on an anonymous source citing the actions of anonymous officials. If the thread of evidence leading to Bush were any thinner, you couldn't see it.

I understand that the Left is having a good time with this...the first hope they've had since the "16 Words," but I'd suggest cooling off a little until something factual actually comes of it.

...I've spent enough time there not to be so naive as to believe that the Iraqis were interested in Niger for its millet, sorghum production.
