PHILADELPHIA -- Rush Limbaugh insisted Wednesday he had "no racist intent whatsoever" in saying the media have overrated the Philadelphia Eagles' Donovan McNabb because they want to see a black quarterback succeed.
In fact, the conservative commentator said he must have been right; otherwise, the comments would not have sparked such outrage.
Wesley Clark is calling for Rush's head. Frankly it's the kind of thing I would want to hear more of if I were a Rush hater instead of a Rush neutral. I enjoy his parodies in the very rare times I catch his show. I also enjoy reading about all the heartburn he gives radicals.
This is not the first time he has made a remark that would have been better left unsaid. I heard him say on his show several years ago that Shaquille O'Neal must have been named after the car that in which he was conceived. Much worse imo but the network remark gets more attention.
