re: FTL experiment or at least thoughts thereof.

Take two lasers and put each of them on a turntable in such a way that; when the turn tables are turning in opposite directions, the two light beams will intersect each other and the intersect point is moving away from the sources. Now observe how fast the intersection of the beams advances when the tables are turned slightly. Then calculate how fast the intersections are advancing away from the source at various distances from the source at various speeds of the turntables. What effect does the turntable speeds have on the beam intersection advance?
What effect does the distance of the intersection from the source have on the speed of the advance? Supposing that the turn tables were turning at ten thousand rpm. At what distance from the source would the light intersection need to travel faster than the light that produces it.
Supposing that the beams were able to travel forever, at what distance would the two beams separate so that they would not cross each others path.

Now if we only had infinitely long and infinitely rigid rods, we could angle them the same way as the light beams and then put a spaceship in the intersection of the two rods, then all we would need to do is to turn the rods away from each other very quickly and we could make the spaceship move faster than light.
That is one impossible idea and I don't like it if the ship is being pushed, I like the idea of the ship being pulled fast enough to exceed the speed of light.

Keep Smiling
