You have perhaps forgotten about the part of the tradition in which the bloody sheet is exhibited to prove the bride's virginity.

If this is OK, I don't want to hear one more word about the Evil Traditions Of Other Religions.

You can't tell me that a 12-year-old who may have been beaten to "persuade" her to say yes, who was evidently threatened with a beating to compel her return to a ceremony from which she fled, and who is obviously still unwilling, is "prepared to go through with" a wedding. She's having a tantrum??? Well, what do you expect? She's TWELVE. If she's having a tantrum during the ceremony, she's obviously not ready to be married.

You can't convince me that it's all right to force a child into sexual bondage because it would be embarrassing to cancel the social event that ratifies it.

Daddy ought to have both testicles cut off and have one stuffed up each nostril.
