U.S. Posts First Job Gains in 8 Months
Some good news: 57,000 new jobs.
It will be a lot better news if it becomes a trend. Economists say real good news would be a steady increase of about 100,000 jobs a month.
Another interesting item: "the Labor Department also revised its estimate for August job performance to show 41,000 jobs were lost instead of 93,000."
It's over a year until the 2004 elections. Let's see what happens to the economy.
