This is not really mysterious at all. The spiral shapes match and are due to the incoming vortex of energy which spins the planet Mars, our solar system and the entire galaxy.

An infinite universe requires a shape by which energy can be conducted infinitely and cover vast light years without dissipation or dissolution.

The infinite logarithmic spiral is that shape:

So the poles is where this vortex is transferred and funneled into planets. An analogy would be the way a driveshaft spins an axle and one vortical motion is converted into another. Mars pole just has made these invisible motions of energy more visible.
