Hi All
Luminet et. al. are yet to show the copies of the CMBR expected if it really is a duodecahedral shape - we should see the seams of the cosmic foot-ball. Here is Professor Ned Wright's take on the new result...

...personally I prefer a closed Universe, since an Infinite one seems excessive and forever unknowable. But an infinite multiverse would be cool, since every sub-universe would be different.
BTW Within a density of 1.013 times critical the new Universe would be about 120.8 billion light-years in radius [in a hyperspatial direction mind you] and mass about 228 trillion times the Milky Way.
H(o) = Hubble constant, WMAP measured it as 71 km/s/Mpc
L(H) = Hubble length = c/H(o); Omega (o) = current density/critical density
Ro = L(H)/sqrt(Omega(o) - 1)
V3 = 2*pi^2*Ro^3 [hypersphere, close to the topology claimed]
M = rho*V3
I am not sure what the recollapse time would be, though, thanks to the uncertainty from "dark energy". Garriga, Linde and Vilenkin recently suggested it could be a mere 27 gigayears away, or even SOONER...

...which isn't enough time to actualise an Omega Point.
If the Universe isn't accelerating, then deccelerating via the dark energy, the standard FRW recollapse time would be ~ 59 trillion years... just as the last stars wink out.
Maximum radius, Rm = L(H)*Omega(o)/sqrt(Omega(o)-1)
Universe life-time, tm = 2*pi*Rm

Universe could recollapse SOON...
