I'm an animation and comic book geek. Or at least a semi-geek. I couldn't name the current members of the Justice League to save my life.

A lot of Japanese animation leaves me unimpressed, but Miyazaki is a friggin' god.

Some of his titles:

Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind

Laputa: The Castle in the Sky

My Neighbor Totoro

Kiki's Delivery Service

Porco Rosso

Princess Mononoke

Spirited Away

He is also doing "Howl's Moving Castle," a title that should get the attention of kid's literature fans.

Disney acquired the rights to release these films in the U.S. and has been taking its sweet time about it. "Porco Rosso" is one film, along with "Nausicaa," that has yet to be released, and like "Nausicaa," one that I am really looking forward to.
