The Pakistan Army is supplying weapons like stinger missiles and mortars, which are capable of firing long distances, to terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, indicating a shift in their tactics, defence sources said today.
Recent seizures of 82mm mortars, rocket launchers and grenade launchers made by security forces showed that terrorists were finding it increasingly difficult to attack Army camps with ease due to heightened security, they said. As a result, the Pakistan Army was equipping terrorists with weapons which could fire long distances, facilitating easy attack and get-away, they said.
Recent reports had indicated that Pakistan had provided terrorists with shoulder-fired anti-aircraft stinger missiles which could target low-flying helicopters used for special forces operations.

I’ll probably catch it for this, but the term “terrorist†is repeated here four (4) times -- and there are only three (3) paragraphs. Consider the source, and know that the “terrorists†are actually citizens of the much-disputed region known as Kashmir, which India says is a province of India, and Pakistan openly supports as a province of Pakistan.
A bit dated, but interesting nonetheless,
Dan
