Expedition 8 on its way to ISS
The Soyuz has launched.
The crew is all civilian. Foale the British born US astronaut is commander! (A first for the Russians to have a non Russian commanding a crew leaving from Kazakhstan).
Two regrets:
Why can't expedition 8 (Foale and Kaleri) spend 18 months aboard ISS, breaking the long duration record?
That would save more money.
Why can't an agreement be signed between the US and Russia about providing help to finance the Progress flights?
After all, the ESA pays its way to ISS with this flight and the next one, and later too.
