Same thing occured to me. The old fart at the end of Reloaded talks about 6 different attempts to "get it right," so maybe each newer version is contained within the older.
I'm just praying that it doesn't end with some sort of "it was all a dream" thingy, or a "Thank goodness you've found a way out of your dream-inducing machine, Dr Anderson." That would suck. But I think the Wachowskis are beyond that.
