I would find the President's position more consistent if it was applied to ALL totalitarian nations. I know it's just "politics," but I still find no sense in embargoing Cuba while giving China Most Favored Nation status. And we trade with Viet Nam. How many American troops have died in Cuba at the hands of Cuban soldiers and guerillas?
I am highly sympathetic to the Cuban Americans in Florida and elsewhere, but even they should see that the embargo isn't really accomplishing much.
