North Korea is making sounds like they would submit to nuclear disarmament in exchange for certain treaties and goodies.
A serious question, not a sarcastic one: do we buy this? Given their "honoring" of the treaty Clinton made, why should we? On the other hand, anyone have a better idea, short of drastic military action?
If they submit to inspections, would it be willingly, like South Africa, or dragging their feet at every step, like Iraq or Iran?
If we sign on to this, with the whole world watching, and North Korea screws us over (again), would be get any help or support from other nations, or be left to stew?
North Korea is real problem. They have already proven that they are more than willing to sell illegal weapons to just about anyone, and I doubt nuclear weapons would be any exception.
North Korean overtures?
