It's the french taxpayers who are going to have to pay.
Same for the Executive Life trial in the US.
Same for the 4% budget deficit, which goes against the EU treaty.
That's the beauty of living in the EU: a country just can't do anything it wants without paying for the consequences and the prime minister isn't popular anymore.
