re: Problem With Pulling Page Forward Program

Mark,

As you surmise, each table of contents is governed by both a size (per page) limit, and a chronological window that defines "recent activity".

The recent activity window is currently 24 hours for all boards. The size parameter varies, as I've tinkered with it to try and adjust to the traffic patterns of specific boards. It's probably time to look at the settings and make some adjustments.

To do that I'd like to get some feedback about how the various TOCs are working. My first impression is that the high-traffic boards--Space and Current Vents--are about right, in that their TOCs have roughly balanced active and inactive sections. Off-topic's moderately slow in comparison, so its active area is somewhat small. Flame, Community, and GeekSpeak are low-traffic boards and have very small active areas. The latter low-traffic boards might benefit from increasing the chronological window to something like 48 hours.

Thoughts?
