It's a damn good thing McVeigh blew up that building, otherwise what the hell would you have to point to for major right-wing violence? Since the 1970s a grand total of seven people have been killed in abortion violence. It would be interesting to survey people and ask them how many doctors had been killed this way. What would your average person answer? Twenty? Fifty? A hundred? How many did you think had been killed? Seven is seven too many, but it's hardly the massacre that's usually implied.

Let me know if you want to take the Left-Right murder tally sheet world wide, and we can see how the count ends up.

The point I make is that in this country the Leftist nut gets respect, or at least tolerance. The Rightist nut doesn't--not that either deserve it. When Marxists on a campus are treated exactly like a Nazi on campus would be, I'll be happy. There are no Nazis in the Congress. There are socialists.

McVeigh is dead, and good riddance. Those who set off bombs in the 60s are doing lecture circuits.
