Lindy,
I would be careful about taking those rumors too seriously. Better to simply take what you know and don't know at face value and reserve judgement about the uncomfirmed reports.
The problem with "this war" is that we started it in the first place. That being said, we are stuck with the obligation of finishing it. All anyone can ask is to hold Mr. Bush responsible for his recklessness next November. Unfortunately, by then, hundreds of Americans will have paid the ultimate price in pursuit of weapons of mass destruction that do not exist. And thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians will have died for the same disreputable cause.
We should have stopped and finished our work in Afghanistan before taking on other endeavors. Mr. Hussein was totally boxed in and contained by U.N. sanctions and inspections, as well as coalition "no fly zones." There was no need to rush to war. Had we exercised the patience only a nation such as ours can hold, those fifteen American heroes that died today would still be with us.
As far as I am concerned, George W. Bush is the worst president this nation has seen since Lyndon Johnson.
