If Saddam's own generals thought they had WMD, why is it such a shock to people that intelligence agencies outside Iraq would come to the same conclusions? Remember, almost every position we overran during the war was well-equipped with suits and injectors for gas warfare. Why? Everyone on the planet knew the United States didn't field such weapons.
