The problem with the evidence

Is that the leftists/freaks/defeatists/etc. started training themselves months ago to be able to ignore literally any evidence presented and to explain it away, so as to focus on the central tenet of their myth: That Bush is evil. We ahve seen people complain because law enforcement now has modern tools to hunt down terrorists and enemy combatants, we have seen people have hissy fits because libraries might be used to gather evidence against the same. We have seen people discount every shred of evidence found, and totally believe every claim against the Admin., no matter that most of the negative claims are later proven wrong.
We watched people who are ostensibly intelligent learn how to ignore the context in which decisions were made, and focus only on the second-guessing. Lincoln went through something like this in 1863. Everyone thought he was going to be turned out in 1864. He stuck to his guns, kept steady to his purpose, won re-election by a huge majority and saved the union. This was done even as terrible battles were fought and huge losses experienced by the the Union. The lesson of history in this is that real leaders earn the confidence of the American people. Bush was quoted this week as deciding that doing what is right in Iraq: pacifying it and crushing the terrorists still hiding out there is more important than his popularity. Bush is no LBJ to get spooked by a Tet offensive.
The lefties, as seen in many places, jsut can't get it.
Hang in there. Your service to this country is greatly appreciated.
