Yet again, the question you and others have been ducking for weeks:
What goddam difference would it make in the current situation in Iraq if there were French and German troops on the scene? What difference would it have made if French troops had gone in with us in March?
Internationalism is not a magic cure-all. Look at the record of the U.N. in this kind of thing. The fact that they have bailed after their headquarters was attacked should give you a clue. U.N. troops hit the boats if someone sends them a threatening postcard.
If your goal is to get more Frenchmen killed instead of Americans, you might just say so.
