re: Lunar eclipse Saturday night.
The Moon rises at 17:01 PST at S. F. locations and totality last until 17:31 so if you find an eastern horizon that is flat enough you might get a view of the total eclipse for a few minutes. We (west coast) should get some good views of color changes during the umbra phase and it's always cool to check out the sharpness of the edge and the features on the moon with binoculars as the edge transits across the surface.
