National Public Radio, haven of the purest of liberals, takes $200 million smackers from a company that is practically the leftist poster-boy for evil Amerikan capitalism. Oddly, they didn't turn it down. Filthy capitalist loot is just fine if used for the Right Purposes.

Try and imagine the response if the McDonalds' $200 million had been given to the Heritage Foundation. Probably miles of indignant text and prose about how Heritage had been forever tainted by corporate environmentally-bankrupt wealth.

Mrs. Kroc was well-known for supporting a number of liberal causes.
