Extended internet tax ban working its way through Congress
Here.
Hopefully, this will make it through, in some form or other. Making it permanent would be a spectacular victory.
Notice the Democratic world-view:
Several states currently collect taxes on Internet access services, and opponents of the ban are worried that the legislation could limit this revenue source.
"You could see billions and billions of dollars lost," said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-S.D. "Definitions are everything."
To a Democrat, money that is not taken out of your pocket is money "lost." Never mind what you might have done with it, they are certain they would have done something more important.
