The report shows a clear link between misinformation and support for Bush's war. Here's where the Orwellian factor comes in. Not only did Bush & co. mislead the public into war, but they had ready accomplices in the network news organizations.

Sam Gardiner. "Truth from These Podia: Summary of a Study of Strategic Influence, Perception Management, Strategic Information Warfare and Strategic Psychological Operations in Gulf II," which identifies more than 50 stories about the Iraq war that were faked by government propaganda artists in a covert campaign to "market" the military invasion of Iraq.

Among the Bush administration fibs covered in this segment: Iraq's "Terrorist Death Squads," Ansar al-Salam, Salman Pak, mobile bioweapons labs, the "dirty bomb", the resurrection of "POW" Lt. Commander Scott Speicher, Scuds, and the remote controlled drones Pres. Bush claimed were capable of striking against the American mainland.
