I for one am still in awe over the internet. Remember how we used to get information? You had to buy a book that published names of corporations and there products. The most notable of these books in my Field is the Sweets catalog. Once you found what you wanted then you had to order information from the company which was mailed to you or you had to talk to their sales rep just to get a little information. This process could take weeks. Then if they mailed you the wrong thing you had to call them and order it again.
The internet has revolutionized that, so product research is all done quickly from the computer. I still call the product rep, but only when I need to know info that isn't on the website, or if I need to verify the use of something. The internet is a huge time-saver.
Having said that the internet is also the biggest time waster on the planet. I'm typing this message aren't I?
