Numbers weren't rolling up fast enough for some people
A few weeks ago, the media apparently decided not to stick to combat deaths, and rolled them all into one to get bigger numbers. The numbers for November are still in flux since the causes of some deaths have not been pinned to one cause or another.
You can always get the most current numbers, properly separated, by going here, scrolling down to "OIF/OEF Casualty Update" (under "Current Information") and clicking on it. The address changes, so I can't link directly.
As of November 26, the total for deaths by hostile action for the entire war is 298. About one a day on average.
