While I know many of my posts pull a cosmic ray bit on many folks heads, I can't believe that this simple, mundane concept is so hard to grasp. If Robert or Justin feel Johannes is pursuing pseudoscience or anomalism then it's their call. Pigheadedness isn't a crime and if it were half the board would have to be banned, you included.
Was that an attempt at nastyness? How cute.
I stayed out of most of the Johannes threads for the longest time. While his theory was incorrect, I also noted how several posters here get venomous in short order. In many ways there is a reverse validation happening as well - as folks want to show that they are smarter, more knowledgeable than Johannes, and use his posts as an excuse to lose it and start to berate and demean. I'm seeing a bit of an intellectual "kick the dog" syndrome emerge here at HZ and I don't like it.
I have never berated someone for displaying ignorance on scientific matters. If I think they're wrong and I feel that I know in what way, I may respond as best I can. I certainly don't wan't other potential freaks with their own pseudo-science drums to beat to think this is a sweet place to set up shop.
One is enough, thank you very much. ;)
When Johannes continues to rail about his atmospheric loss nonsense in the face of any reasonable analysis, this is not someone asking a question but prostelitizing.
I would NEVER flame someone with an honest curiosity. Please prove me wrong and post my sins if you can find any. I don't know anything about Betsy.
If they're asking loaded questions and desirous of a certain answer, like SAM, that's different. Initially others and I earnestly tried to answer his questions as best we could before we understood what he was all about.
Then, irritation leads to inflamation.
Such has become the case with Yo-han. It's f'n pathetic when he posts something like "New imfermashun for RL and Nick" and posts a page of mathematically inconsistent crap with his happy-flame tone.
As far as I'm concerned, it's unwelcome here. I support my opinion actively and will continue to do so.
It's great if you don't care about scientific consistency on space, don't feel compelled to post about it. Stick to making snide, quasi-delusional posts about your reactionary world view on CE, and posting your techno-thriler stories where you're the big hero who saves the day. It's much more fun, don't you think...?

Please focus....
