No wonder we're loosing millions of molecules of atmosphere per second. In units of force-energy/seconds-slugs-furlongs of course. (n/t)
Force-energy/seconds-slugs-furlongs?

There is too much "FUR" flying around here already but perhaps I can learn something on these boards anyway.

Force = A vector quantity that tends to produce an acceleration of a body in the direction of its application.

Or the way some people try to push others away from the "habitablezone". :-0

Energy = The capacity of a physical system to do work

I admit I don't have as much "energy" as I used to.:-(

Seconds = A unit of time equal to one sixtieth of a minute

Or the quality of information that I have been getting here lately.:-(

Slugs = The unit of mass that is accelerated at the rate of one foot per second per second when acted on by a force of one pound weight.
Furlong = 40 rods. One rod = pole = perch = 16 ½ feet or 5 ½ yards.

With all the "fur" that has been flying here for so "long" I would not be surprised if somebody would like to "slug" someone. :-)

Now if you convert your calculation of the quantity of air loss to buckets or bushels or even butts, then I would be able to convert them to something useful in the "fundamental" sense.
There is no need to be exact so you can also use the cubits or the bath as your measurements.

But since you and R.L. do not have any actual measurements pertaining to the atmospheric loss or gain, you have the tendency to pull some imaginery numbers out of your collective "butts".

People were the same over two thousand years ago, I guess they will never change.

A man is his own easiest dupe, for what he wishes to be true he generally believes to be true.

Demosthenes (c. 384–322 B.C.), Greek orator. Third Olynthiac, sct. 19 (349 B.C.).

To summarize the exchange of information between R.L., and I.
I.....Radioactivity might accelerate air molecules and fast moving air molecules can escape into space.
RL....The sun is bigger and gives out more energy, therefore all other effects are insignificant and should be ignored by everyone.
I.......agree that the sun is bigger and gives out more energy, but why should that prevent us from studying all the pollution, including the radioactive pollution in the atmosphere and how these pollutants affect the Earth's weather and or climate.
