Maglev for lanching why/why not?
after reading cnning artical i can,t help but wonder how this could be used (seen the good old films with space craft lanched off tracks). what speed would it need to get up to to lanch a rocket intop orbit without thrust? and is this not more enviromental sound and less waistful than boosters?? any other articals on this would be of interest :)
