Basically it is an admitted attempt to get around campaign finance laws. I got a good chuckle at the last quote:
The NRA and its lawyers will “look at every option to continue to exercise our First Amendment rights,†even anchoring a ship “in international waters and beaming in†if necessary to get its gun-rights message on the air at election time, LaPierre said.
4 million members is not a fringe organization, but it is carrying about like one. . . . hey as long as no one looses an eye doing the renegade broadcast things why not?
