Armstrong in Korea in 1950
I'm reading Armstrong's interview for Quest (translated into french for Ciel et Espace) and apparently, he was flying Panthers during the Korean war. He saw Michener on the Essex who was preparing his book "Bridges at Toko Ri".
Neil says he does recognize lots of events in the book (more than in the movie).
He also had to use his ejection seat on sept 3 1951 and went through 22 G's. That's because his Panther's right wing was cut by an anti-aircraft tether.
Raoul (now, back reading the rest of the interview).
