Given the constant rants from many people about how we pussyfoot around with Saudi Arabia, why is questioning the relationship of a well-known conservative with Islamists suddenly a dose of McCarthyism?
First off, in case it isn't obvious to all: I am responsible for and will defend only my own constant rants and/or pussyfooting, and don't care very much about anyone's else.
Assuming that you care at all why I'm asking the question (doubtful -- seems more likely that you were using my post as an excuse to rail at generic leftists), I was simply judging the piece by its content. It seems to rely heavily on the "we have sources who say they saw you talking to someone who prior investigation has shown to be related to someone who may have been a terrorist" school of indictment. I didn't pay any attention to the political affilliations of any of the principles.
I'm just saying that Americans don't need witchhunters, and I wondered how many take this stuff seriously. For your part, I should increment the count by one?
