It's an Arab thing...
This sort of thing comes naturally to the Arabic language (a naturally poetic language that's remarkably logical). I studied Arabic for a couple of years and found it fascinating. Cursing in Arabic is very subtle. For example "ibn Kalb" (son of a dog) is a very mild insult, e.g. naughty boy. However "ibn Kalba" (son of a bitch) is a mortal insult that demands violence. Never curse an Arab (or anyone for that matter) in their native language.
