When I was working at Sandia in Livermore about 18 months ago I rode my bike to and from work every day- one day I was hit by a truck... the police and paramedics arrived immediately (the fact the truck was a catering truck carrying coffee and donuts may have had something to do with it) Witnesses said I did a backflip to get out from under the truck before the wheels crushed my legs- (I dont think a backflip is possible for me...)...

Anyway, the first thing the paramedics did was ask me my name...no problem, then they asked me what day it was, no problem, then they asked me the year, again no problem, THEN they asked me who was president- I started giggling...they laughed too and said "ok, not who you think SHOULD be president, but who is in the white house..."

I declined a hospital trip, I thought I was just a bit bruised- Found out that was a mistake- that night my wrist swelled up like a balloon- turned out I had broken my arm... It was good for laugh anyway... :)
