We have a crackpot filter? I always thought the HZ (space) crackpot filter was the willingness of we few, brave regulars who are willing to wade in and slug it out with the psuedo scientists.
I disagree with the fortress mentality. We should welcome them in and make the case for reality (our shared reality, as defined by emperical measurement) actively. I've yet to see a crank argument delivered here survive the multiplicity of wounds that the various regulars can deliver to it. Beyond that, continued stressing of their deceased issue either makes them look silly and desperate (i.e. BD) or they get bored and look for more fertile venues (sam-bmpbmp).
