Solar Trivia Item

The innermost layer of the sun is the core. With a density 10 times that of lead, the core might be expected to be solid. However, the core's temperature of 15 million kelvins (27 million degrees Fahrenheit) keeps it in a gaseous state.

-- this would make an incredible starship propellent, if a wormhole in the Sun's core collected the plasma, and channeled it through a starship rocket nozzle.
