Not sure why. I understand that simply identifying the fact that Marxism exists at all in America is enough to get one labeled a McCarthyite nowadays, but even the most liberal person here can't argue that the philosophy of the Green Party is almost indistinguishable from that of the Socialist Workers Party, with the possible exception of being considerably more incoherent.
Or maybe I'm a redneck for recognizing that the Democratic Party would give almost anything not to have a viable Green Party candidate in the race. Remember 2000?
