Shift in terror attacks as well
A far greater percentage of the terror attacks in Iraq are being committed by Al Queda terrorists rather than Baathists terrorists. The latter are definitely on the ropes but the former are still very active.
Another interesting point that hasn't been widely reported. in the past months hundreds, perhaps thousands, of mid and lower level former Baathist officials have "disappeared" from their homes in towns and cities across Iraq, many to reappear with their throats slit or as bullet riddled corpses. As the saying goes, payback is a bitch.
