Allied forces won both WWI and WWII. Didn't Bush go to the UN first before invading Iraq? The problem in Serbia is that the democratic politician has to make optimistic promises to win an election. We have the same problem in Canada, politicians inevitably flip-flop, one way or another fail to meet the expectations of the electorate. In Serbia the Insane Party, possessing the usual contrarian attitude, was able to defeat the good guys by simple criticism of performance. I doubt they made any constructive promises themselves. Thus they have the appearance of superior integrity, even though they don't.
