Enjoy the holiday

At this point, worrying about an attack is like worrying about an earthquake. It could come this year (not much left it), next year, or ten years from now. After all, wasn't 911 five years in the making?

And unlike Mt Rainier or the Yellowstone Caldera blowing up- or a large impactor striking the earth- or a tsunami, mudslide, hurricane, snowstorm, heat wave etc., we can take steps to prevent a reoccurrence of a 911-type event.

Just tonight on the news they showed a GPS/auto pilot system for Airliners that would steer any plane away from sensitive targets like nuke plants and city centers. (The way my brother flys, he could use one to keep him out of the Whidbey MOA.)

New Yorkers don't dwell on murders and muggings, People in LA know they're sitting on the San Andreas. As Americans, we know now that we are a target. It just another unfortunate fact of life we have to deal with for now.
