Mars Express will be able to attempt contact of Beagle on Jan 4 once the correct orbit is established. This is the last chance but it is also the best chance. Far better than Mars Odessey or Jodrell Bank. If Beagle is functioning (granted a very big IF given its many problems) ME has a decent chance of finding it.
2004 is going to be an interesting year. Cassini arrives at Saturn in June I believe.
