Or taking pictures of military installations! On a recent Christmas trip in NC we were passing the southern tip of the Camp Lejeune Marine Base. Deciding I wanted to take a few photos of just the signs leading into the camp and the entrance guard posts, Marines etc. for a friend, both my hub and I became paranoid that Marines would come out with guns pointing and ask us what we were doing! .. so we drove up to the guard house and inquired if we could take some pics. There was no problem, the boys (who all looked about 14 to this grandmama) were delighted to talk to us, show us around and even give us ideas of where "cool" pictures could be taken. The young men were more than helpful and so polite. But believe me, with the terror alert up there, that was always in the back of our minds.
